Canvas Mode provides powerful navigation tools, keyboard shortcuts, and AI assistant features that help you work efficiently with complex visual workflows.
Top Navigation Bar
The top navigation bar provides quick access to essential project functions:
- Project Name - Click to rename your project with descriptive names
- Import - Bring in existing documents (Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint) as Canvas nodes
- Export - Download your work in various formats - individual documents or entire workflow
- Clear Canvas - Remove all nodes to start fresh (cannot be undone)

Working with Nodes
Node interaction in Canvas Mode is designed to feel intuitive. Right-click empty space to create new nodes, then click and drag to reposition them wherever makes sense for your workflow. You can connect nodes by dragging from one node's handle to another, creating visual relationships between your documents. Double-click any node to open the editor and start working with its content.
Canvas Navigation
Moving around your canvas is smooth and responsive. Hold Space and drag to pan the view, or use your scroll wheel for zooming in and out. Double-click empty space to automatically fit all nodes in your view, and use the zoom controls in the bottom-right corner to reset your zoom level when needed.
AI Assistant Integration
The AI assistant understands your canvas context and can help with document creation and workflow management.
Context-Aware Commands
The AI assistant understands your canvas and responds intelligently to natural language requests. Ask it to "Create a market analysis document" and it generates a new text node. Follow up with "Add supporting data for the analysis" to create a connected spreadsheet. You can even request "Generate slides from the document" to build a presentation node, or ask it to "Connect these documents logically" to create meaningful workflow connections.
Workflow Management
The AI provides smart suggestions for next steps based on your current work and can handle cross-document editing by referencing and updating multiple nodes simultaneously. It applies consistent formatting across all your documents and helps with content optimization to improve and refine your work as you build your workflow.
